Q. WHY IS THE STUDIO HEATED AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HOT PRACTICE?

A. Practicing in a heated room facilitates a deeper stretch of muscle fibers and tendons, this helps prevent injuries to these areas during your practice. Heat also increases circulation which improves tissue, organ function and enhances the immune system.

The benefits are endless to 103 Hot Pilates & Yoga classes. A few of these benefits are: improved movement, increased flexibility, increased circulation, strength, improved sleep patterns and reduction in stress. Regular practice ( at least 3 times a week ) can reduce the symptoms of many chronic diseases ( e.g. arthritis, diabetes, thyroid disorders, and chronic fatigue ).

Q. WHAT MAKES 103 HOT PILATES & YOGA DIFFERENT?

A. 103 Hot Pilates & Yoga is not your typical yoga and Pilates studio. Walking into our studio is like walking into a boutique upscale spa. Students will experience candles burning, calm atmosphere and a clean odor free environment. Our locker rooms are stylish, clean and LARGE. We offer free lockers, blow dryers, lotion and plenty of room to primp from studio to work, or out for the evening. 103 Hot Pilates & Yoga goes out of its way to keep our facility immaculate by having an on site house keeper to make sure bathrooms, common areas and studios floors are constantly cleaned and sanitized. We even offer free wireless service .

Q. DOES 103 HOT PILATES & YOGA SMELL LIKE MOST HOT STUDIOS?

A. No, tremendous research and expense has gone into state of the art surroundings as well as eco-friendly materials that are easily sanitized between classes as well as high tech equipment and construction materials that prevent mold, mildew and associated smells.

Q. WHY DOESN’T 103 HOT PILATES & YOGA USE CARPET FLOORING?

A. Tremendous time and effort was dedicated to finding the optimal flooring system that would withstand a hot humid enviornment, provide cushion and traction for Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates & Bootcamp. Most importantly, a floor that is easily cleaned and sanitized between classes. We found these elements of paramount importance to maintaining a clean odor free environment. While our flooring may appear to be plank hardwood, it is a laminate rubberized flooring system that has zero porosity and cushioned for comfort. We do not find the use of carpet in this environment a sanitary option.

A. Yes, we have a full retail area to purchase yoga mats and yoga towels. We also offer candles, lotions, body gels, and clothing.

Q. WHAT DO I WEAR TO CLASS?

A. Wear cool comfortable clothing. Remember you will be sweating… A lot!!! We have found loose fitting clothing ends to become distracting after becoming wet.
