Irie Hatha-A Bishnu Ghosh inspired Hatha Yoga class. The Bikram lineage came from poses and sequences taught at the Bishnu Ghosh school in Calcutta, India. This class is structured in 3 parts for a complete yoga practice: Asana (the physical practice of postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Dharana (meditation). We will practice asana focusing on muscle engagement, strength, flexibility and balance as well as various drills and core strengthening exercises. This level 1/2 class is great for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. There is a variety within a set framework to be able to monitor progress and work on asana and discipline. Come ready with a mat.
